What is PAT Testing?

Electrical Appliances need to be safe, to comply with legal requirements. PAT testing is a way of checking them on a routine basis to see if they are safe.

Electrical Wiring in a building needs to be checked - this is called Fixed Wire Testing, or PIR (Periodic Inspection Report) - this is a covered by the 17th edition wiring regulations.
